The parcel arrived today.

I am a bit disappointed as the pieces in the parcel don't match any style I've seen before.

I'm unsure if they've sent me the correct stuff, although the stuff does look nice it wasn't really what I was hoping for.

It's more just normal type driftwood than twigs type that is shown.

Here's a photo of the 'best' piece I was sent...

Just spoken to the fella at onlineaquariumstore.com

He said that the Sumatra Driftwood would take ages to come in and so have substituted that with some other wood. I did say that if it was substituted, I should of been notified.

We're trying to work out how to get the unwanted items back to him and will give me a full refund (including P&P).

Then he'll call me when some Sumatra Driftwood comes in and have agreed to pay the proper price when that comes in.

I'm thinking of maybe ordering a bulk load from Unipac.

If your not too far from stoke on trent you can get sumatra from glovers in fenton, I paid £8 for the piece in my tank.

This looks a bit better...

Unsure if I'll be using the piece on the right. Bought from Maidenhead Aquatics Stockport but World of Water had some in too.

Thoughts on using oak instead of bogwood? You can find some interesting looking branched under oak trees. It's silver grey rather than brown, sinks [eventually] and does not rot in water. Can anyone think of any good reasons why not – before I have a go..?

go for it as long as there is no visible decay its fine.
