This is to go in my 110 litre tank and I want to make sure that the fish will not be overcrowded in there so this is my plan of stocking

10 five banded barbs
5 honey gourami
2 apistogramma cacatuoides
6 salt and pepper or panda Cory's

Does this sound alright are they all suited to the same sort of water parameters. I know that some of you think that it might be overstocked but coming from my pov there use to be 40 fish in the 110 litre. So I don't want to reduce my stock too much too quickly otherwise to me it will look like there is nothing in there. I do know now that 40 fish in the tank was way to much. Also this tank has been set up for a few years and the filter is an interpret PF 3 which is designed to go up to 140 litres so the filter is more than adaquate to deal with the fish in the tank from Tom

In my 110 litre fish tank I have 5 honey gourami 2 male 3 female
There tank mates include
10 five banded barbs
6 panda Cory
2 apistogramma

Will all of these get on I just want it make sure that the tank is not overstocked and that all the fish are compatible thanks from Tom.

I have been looking around for panda Cory's and the cheapest I can find is 5 for £30 or 6 for £36 is that a normal price or is it cheaper/more expensive for these fish as I'm not used to paying that much for my fish from Tom

it is quite cheap compared to most prices, corydoras are quite pricey really

Yh my LFS do 2 for £10 or £6 each so the same..

They'd do 6 for £30 though and they did my 5 for £5 each (£25).

Worth every penny. Panda corys are brilliant. My secret favourite... shh dnt tell the others :p!!!!

One of my Lfs has them for £3.50, another has them at £4.50, it really depends where yougo

Well if you buy in bulk you are more likely to get a discount or even get a few free

I can't comment on the barbs and cories but I do have honey gouramis and cockatoo apsitos in the same tank. They ignore each other unless one or other has eggs to defend, then they chase all the other fish in the tank if they get too near. Neither species has done anything to the other in my tank.
The only combination that might cause problems is the apistos and cories. If the apistos breed, they'll chase the cories away from the area where the eggs are and cories being cories, they won't understand the message to stay away.

Ok thank you for that information and so do you think that the numbers in the tank is ok because I have overstocked it before and don't want to do it again. Is there a reason that the Cory's don't understand/learn about territories in the tank from tom

You went ahead & got more barbs & the corys after already being told the tank would be overstocked & corys & apistos could be a problem?
Those barbs can get over 3" you will need a bigger tank or rehome some of the barbs.
What temp is your tank at? as pandas need cooler temps

I have not got the Cory's yet. My tank is at 26 Celsius. I was told by a member on here that having
10 five banded barbs
5 honey gourami
2 apistogramma
Would be fine stocking and I think the tank could also support the 6 Cory's as the filter is more powerful than it needs to be and the tank supported 40 fish before so I think it can easily deal with 23.

All the book and internet sources I have read said that the max size of the 5 banded barb is 2 inches with most not reaching that and also I am aware that there might be a problem between the Cory's and the apistos but what made me think that I could have both in the same tank is that the panda and the apistos are the same size and the male and female have not paired up they decided they worked better as friends so the apistogramma would not be breeding in the tank.

Ok I will drop the temperature down, also I have 2 maidenhead aquatics near me I rang one who sells there pandas for £7.95 each or 6 for £42 and the other store sell there's at £4.25 each or £20 for 6 how can one companies price vary so much it's crazy. Will the other fish be ok with the water at 23 Celsius from Tom

No, your other fish won't like that temperature.
There are loads of different corys to choose from, sterbai would like the higher temp
