Imho sterbai are getting too large for that tank. Do you have those barbs already? I could not see them on the pic you posted today. Before adding any more fish I would work on that tank a little. You complained that u don't like it the way it is. Me neither. Poor honey gouramis. They need a densely planted tank. Your tank is nearly empty.
What is considered normal behaviour for panda Cory's and also I have a sand substrate with a couple of little rocks here and there and I was wondering would they be able to swim over these little rocks or would it hurt there barbels and could they sleep on these small rocks from Tom
I have been reading online and this is the temperature range I got for all the fish in my tank
Panda Cory's 22-25 Celsius but can go down to 19
Honey gourami 22-27 Celsius
5 banded barb 21-26 Celsius
Apistogramma cacatuoides 22-29 Celsius
At the minute my tank is a 26 Celsius but I'm thinking if I reduce it to 24 Celsius then all my fish should be happy. Is that correct from Tom
I have no experience with apistogramma, but as far as the other fish are concerned, maybe consider Cherry barbs? Just a suggestion if you're wanting another small barb..
What are the pH requirements of Apisto's? The others would all do fine in a neutral tank, but as I understood it Apistogramma were south american cichlids; which I thought liked more acidic water...
The apistogramma are not to bothered by the ph but if I wanted to get them to breed I would need to get it between 5.0-6.0 and mines 7.4 and I don't like messing with the water parameters I just keep things how they come out of the tap ( obviously dechlorinate it). Thanks for the suggestion of the cherry barbs but I don't think there is room in the 110 litre tank as I already have
10 five banded barbs
5 honey gourami
2 apistogramma
And 6 panda Cory's
I was meow concerned about the temperature as I know the Cory's prefer a lower temperature and just wanted to make sure that 24 Celsius was an ok temperature for them and my other fish from Tom
