So im starting to plan using an old 5 Gal (may be 6 Gal [roughly measured tank then converted to vol]) tank I found in the GFs mums garage! (oh-ey!)
This week I will dirt the tank and fill with water from my 50Gal then leave it until the filter arrives... Then fishless cycle there after
The filter is a 400 L/hr HOB
Im hopefully planning to stock:
5x Galaxy Rasbora (aka Firework Danio)
1x Horned Nerite Snail (or Zebra Snail depending)
5-10 Fire/Bee/Tiger Shrimps
It will be lo-tech (might try DIY CO2 at some point) and as heavily planted as practical. Carbon Dosing is probably out of the question with Shrimps (altho the amano shrimps in my 50gal seem fine)
What do you think?
The Rasbora's are around 2.5cm when adult so should be ok.
Is 1 Snail ok? Or does it need a friend...
Do Shrimps and Snails get on okay?
(Will add the snail and shrimps first and Rasbora's a month or two after)
