i got 3 new shrimp, 2 look healthy but one has a really pale body and has a really green spot right behind the head. is this bad? i got the shrimp for 30% off and if they die within three days i can return them for money back.
it looks like this but is more realistic:

what kind of shrimp are they? i have ghost shrimp and after they ate you could kind of tell what color the food was. also i noticed that my ghost shrimp would have green in them, then later it would turn out to be eggs, which they then laid on their tail:

my shrimp, pink is the organs and green is the eggs

they are cherry shrimp, all my have a brownish spot that is there organs, but i am pretty sure the cherry shrimp is male

Most male cherry shrinp wont have much colour unless they are a particular strain of cherry like the fire reds. If the male is white inside his body then it is almost certian he is diseased. If he is just pale in shell colour then I wouln't worry too much, as for the green spot I am not sure, but some of my females do develop blueish patches on their bodies,
