Their stocklist shows 1" juvies at $3.00 each. Not sure on shipping prices, it depends on where you live, part of the attraction for me is that they're only about an hour away so I'll be picking mine up, well that and they have excellent stock.

If you're near a major aiport they can fly it to you, it's a heck of a lot cheaper than fedex or ups.

LoL alot of cichlids are cheap around here only cause people don't get into the hobby really much, and most that do end up shipping them out to be honest. Our nearest place is Toronto that is a major city I wasgiong to get 25 of the Demoni, yup they are pure and person got his from the wild and have been doing line breeding with them I was offered a good deal on the other fish the Acei

$0.50-$1 and shipping isn't that much for airport to airport, not sure on rules shipping out of canada though but for a f1 that usually sells for 30 ya its an amazing deal For me I use to breed different types of betta fish Half moon etc and when a major pet store here closed I made my money from them from shipping them out usually airport to airport unless spring, summer, fall I would ship canada post eaither way its 20 for shipping here and airport to airport is usually 70 depending that includes supplies to ship I have seen some as much as 150 for shipping sometimes quicker to have a place near by to ship to put in quartine and then ship out again , this is why I am excited about getting back into breeding again and when I did it was no such thing as a system for auto water changes, not having a system like this raising over 200 fry becomes a pain with daily water changes and feedings.

For some reason the problem here is no one wants to buy them, especially cichlids sometimes can sell discus and gourmis etc, but community I find are alway easy to sell but still after this tank setup Problem is he sold all the fish so waiting on the next batch He even told me if I was looking to breed them that this isn't the batch for that so wait for the next batch


Where I am from I love when you try to do business with a lfs, especially petsmart where they say you need a arizona breeding license lol (No such thing) ~ Only thing I have found about this is that you need a special license to house stuff like bass and breed them etc to sell them as food. Other than that only a business licencse is needed to sell to them for cash in hand and not store credit(We don't have many local fish stores anymore is probably why tanks and such are expensive I know for supplies I mail order all my stuff A) Its cheaper even with shipping most the time shipping is free or they cover half, B)Convinient, no wasted gas pay with paypal and next day its at my door
Not sure on some of your prices but I know BBS eggs for a 1lb is 40 but for decapsulated its half pound for 15 plus shipping local stores don't carry this stuff zzzzzzz

Prices I have been lucky with so far from breeders (These are really close breeder to me like friends for life deal)
Discus ~ anywhere from $15 (when ordering 15 or more) 2.5 hour drive
$20-$120 for designer fish (Wayne NG,Forrest etc) Needs to be shipped but in canada
$35 for albinos and red rose and Pigeon strains etc 3"

Cichlids ~ Acei ~ 0.50 - $1 ea buying in quantity 25 for $25 don't think are pure black body yellow tail
~ Demoni F1 ~ 12 for $20 cheaper for stalk that you can't breed meaning been inbread

Bettas ~Half Moon 10-20
~ Delta 10-25
~ CT 3-10
~ Vail 1-2
Mixed Strains so like ct and delta or ct and halfmoon etc
~ SD(Super Delta)15-20

All these breeders I deal with first question is are you planning on breeding depending on the answer they will allow you to buy from them, because mose inbreed or follow a lines and certain batches are not recommend for inbreeding etc

wow sounds like you have some good ties with alot of breeders and you know where to get your stuff. i have a few that i know within 30 minutes of my house, but they do it more our of enjoyment not realy for sales. wish i knew more people like you do.

Maybe you need to get out more to local events hehe
ya I know a few anyways and always can get a good deal, I stopped buying from lfs awhile back after purchasing a defective fish I didn't notice till I grew it out. Not bashing LFS cause only 1 in my city is actually somewhat good but I spent abot 2 hours looking at fish one day and seen spotted out 25 defects in fish and asked myself why wernt they culled!

Some of the breeding stories I have heard and done myself are kinda crazy lol I alway find it better dealing with a breeder or a transhipper who breeds there own line only because you can see the parents and buy in bulk cheap. But even me when i sell my betta's and gourmis and my angles I sell them way cheaper than stores do, actually I sell same price I sell to stores or even cheaper. Sometimes you get lucky and find something like altums that bred and end up getting a few of them cheap!! I won't say the price you die if I told you prices of them here from local breeders and from stores but trust me they are cheap!

sick lid okay perfect everyone looks on me like I am crazy when I say chick lid lol now I know how its pronouced hehe

oh and I found out the difference in the Acei type, one type is black the other is blue both with yellow tails, the thing is the black body yellow tail is not a dwarf, the purple or blue and yellow tail is considered a dwarf and grows no more than 4-5" I think if my research was right, they look purple to me but states its a blue body on my research and also said they can be hard to tell the difference between ea other when side by side

If you where interested in any fish I could try and get some shipped to you just let me know what you are looking for and where you are would depend on shipping costs, I have never shipped live fish to the USA though and wouldn't do it with winter on the way, if I see any good deals you might be interested in I can let ya know. What I consider good stalk is eaither wild or breed from wild, then after that its okay stalk and then just show stalk.

This winter the wife has me doing betta, we have to pic up our new guys this weekend and i won't tell you the price but will say its well under $15 for dragon halfmoon (Pair) and they are very rare here and breeding material AAA Quality! only been bred once in the line so a perfect line to follow and get to see the parents and they are from a well known transhipper here
