I am not concerned of losing shrimp, I understand / understood there will be loss. Mostly wanted to keep them their to help with food clean up since frogs are so sloppy. If anything their populations have blossomed since. They enjoy hunting the young shrimp and microfauna all day, which to me is worth it, they are very happy and healthy / active etc.

The best way I have found to enhance color in shrimp is to cull the ones I don't like into their own tank, and since you have 2 shrimp tanks, that may be your best option.

Fair enough I was intrigued if there was a certain nutrient or something. I probably won't go through the effort. I have a nice female in a jar though maybe she'll make some nice babies

Tiny trimming on both... I'm hoping one day I can hang the lights over the frog tank and have it open, with mostly roots in the tank and a ton of surfaced rotala on-top.
My oldest ember tetra are now reaching about 4 years old.... I originally had 10 now down to 5 believe... Anyone have a recommendations because I don't know if I really want more or to continue having them in the tank. I was thinking a centre "piece" fish but I don't think there's anything that would work. Or if anyone has an idea on how to go about it. I don't think I really got much options.
Their colors do go amazing with the tank to be fair. I usually keep it very overgrown, it goes through many phases it's just started to grow out from last heavy trimming. They seem happiest with extreme overgrowth they are extremely calm and just swim through the plants catching microfauna and worms. And territorial behavior etc are muuuuch more calm as they feel they always have privacy ( when I say overgrown I mean entire tank filled essentially ,pictured tank in this post is only about 1/4? Maybe of what it is overgrown)
