So currently I have a 40gallon aquarium with a flowerhorn in it. I'm thinking of setting up a large semi-aquatic tank by using a small storage bin (2ft x 16" x 6"deep) I'm trying to find ideas online but I can't for the life of me remember what the aquarium type is actually called. I think it's called a plandarium or something... Can anybody give me the correct name please?

Paludarium. You could fit maybe 3 firebellied toads in there.
I'm staying far away from fire bellies as they secret a toxin when scared and I'm planning on have some fish in the water, aswell as African Clawed Frogs.
The aquarium is 40gallons (3ftx18" and I forget how tall), but I plan to have it about 30gallons full, the Plastic tote will be the land mass. I'm kind of thinking of setting up a small natural pond type thing. I have a 1200gallon outdoor pond and every spring/summer we have LOADS of small green frogs (naturally occuring species in my area that get to 7"), so I'm thinking of mabye catching a few and putting them in.

Oh, I think I understand what you are doing now. If it is a 40 Breeder, which it appears to be, then it is 17" tall.

I measured last night lol.
So currently I'm thinking about running my Fluval canister filter (Rated up to 45 gallons) on the aquarium. I want to make a small land mass, so I'm planning on using the little 2ft tote to float the land mass, I also plan to have it suspended in place using something like velcro (in case I ever want to change the aquarium back from a paludarium).
The stock I'm thinking of is:
2 African Clawed frogs
Around 12-15 Red Rosy Minnows (I realize they'll be more used for food then as a display but I want something swimming in the water.)
1 or 2 newts/salamanders
3-4 Green Frogs (like I said, they breed in my pond)
and I'm also thinking of adding a small turtle like an eastern map turtle (which apparently reach a size of only 7"-10"), although I may not.
As far as live plants are concerned I want to get a few table ferns, some lily pads for the water and some Hornwort aswell. I'm planning on having large pieces of wood sticking out of the water leading to a rocky ridge on the left side.
I'll post some pictures up as soon as I began this project, but I have to sell my Flowerhorn first.
