Great looking tank.

The one thing that really makes me jealous is your twig cat. I've been looking one for years.

thanks for the comment Ridewake! muchos appriciardos.

I love it!!! What are you using for plant health? You have such a beautiful ecosystem in there. I can't even keep an amazon sword alive :(

And just one more question - how many gallons is it? :)

What are you using for plant health?

Thanks again, the system has Columbo florabase as it's substrate, it is running 1bps of C02, It gets dosed with 5ml of Tropica plant nutrition plus daily, a few drops of ADA ECA every week. It runs RO water with a 75% a week water change. The filter contains high grade carbon and seachem purigen alongside sponge and noodles. The lighting isn't high, it's 2X25 watt T8's luminaire. Oh and it's 33 gallons

heres a couple of pics from tonight...

W O W ! ! !

One of the best I have seen, really lovely tank. Love the green neons and chocolate gouramies too. I got some questions.....

They both like soft acidic water ?
That substrate looks fantastic too. Is it a complete planting substrate ?
Is it cory friendly ? Are there any pros and cons to it ?
I have 1 x 10L and 3 x 5L of JBL aquabasis for my planted tank Im just starting to set up but I have to admit to really liking the look of that stuff you have. How much did you use and what is the footprint of your tank please ?
And, sorry to ask so many things. How about a list and plan of your planting ?
Theres a lovely plant towards the back left, very open with long thin twisted leaves. I reckon I want some of that for sure.
What type of wood is it and where did you get it ? Its a stunning piece of wood !!

Seeing this tank has inspired me to REALLY give a lot of thought and planning to my new setup. But damnit, that means I wont be putting substrate in tomorrow as I may be exchanging it (thank you maidenhead aquatics for being so understanding with my constantly changing my plans).

this gives a full list of plants, wood and stuff...

The substrate is Columbo florabase, IMO once of the best planting substrates. It is fine for Cory's just make sure that you don't have any carpeting plants. The substrate does leach ammonia, so keep up with the water changes and you'll be fine. I have added fish on day one using this substrate and a mature filter and never had a problem. Some MA stock this stuff, if not then have a look at Aquaessentials, they sell it. This tank is 126ltr and it took 2x10ltr bags. Its well worth it though, you'll get the best start for your plants.

and the wood is Manzanita wood, again Aquaessentials have a load in at the moment.

thank you snake!
