New Plants!

I finally got more plants!!! Here is what I got.

1 amazon sword
1 wisteria
2 banana plants

They look so nice in the tank! I will get pics up soon, I have to go to cheerleading practice.

So did I make good choices on plants??? They are for the 29 gallon.

Amazon swords are cool, I have loads of them and they grow great. Wisteria are good, but a little too 'stalky' for me (ripped all of mine out after a nasty stag-horn infestation) and not seen a banana plant in the flesh, but it looks cool, needs a lot of light though.

So what shall I get next? They had a great suggestion.

That is something only you can decide. I did have a vast selection in my tank (I got one of those collections with loads of different plants) and a lot didn't look right so now I only have a few different types of plant instead of loads. It looks better in my opinion.

If something looks good, then get it and see if it works.

I meant with the hardyness ect. Like if they are good beginer plants. And what are other good plants to get as I am just starting out.

Hygrophilia Polysperma is very easy to grow in most conditions. Others to consider are Egeria Densa and Vallisneria sp. If you do not have high light levels then you should generally avoid any of the red varieties.

I just bid on some java moss on aquabid. So if I do win it, and it does alright in my tank I will order more.

Hygrophila polysperma grows like mad and can be split or left floating. Even I've not managed to kill these!

Yeah mine seems to like to come out of the gravel alot! But it seems to be doing well. It is kinda a pain though lol.

Very slow growing. To form a carpet effect with the right conditions i believe can take around 6 weeks
