just got my pair of pink skunk clownfish in my 95 litre river reef, they seem perfectly healthy but they keep doing what they seemed to do where i work (aquatics) and barely moving from the top left corner where the filter inlet is.
they went in last night, saturday, and they went straight there and when i've fed them, theyve dashed forward and from the back wall a bit, but they still are refusing to actually explore the live rock laden tank.
any thoughts? could my cleaner shrimp be putting them off, cos the shrimp are probably bigger than they are!

Clownfish are odd. They have their spots they like to be. I wouldn't worry much. When comfortable they will generally decide to explore more. Pink skunks are very underrated fish, very lovely.

literally thier backs sometimes break the surface cos they hang about the top so much, could the cleaner shrimp put them off?
would an anenome help things you think?

I don't think an anemone would honestly make any difference, especially if they are tank raised. One should not be placed in a tank so small anyways ;)

Could potentially be the shrimp I guess... anything's possible.
IME skunks hang about the top a lot. I wouldn't worry too much, they may settle down and get comfortable and start exploring the tank more.

im due to add some more livestock, im definately going to get a peppermint shrimp for the aiptasia, possibly some nassarius snails

i have been looking at yellow tail blue damsels
cherub angels
royal grammas

would any of those give the clowns a bit more confidence?
im getting a manderin much later anyways, but im torn between those 3 at the moment, but if theyre going to help the clowns feel more at ease, then it makes the choice a bit easiar for me!
