New Malawi Setup.comments Please.

yes dave that ocean rocks cool sorry i noticed you said what kind of rock it was further up the post dooooooooo. so that's 21 fish i make it all growing to about 3" or so, well how many more can you get in your tank. and by the way what did you use to cycle your tank and how long did that take SORRY TO ASK ALL THIS BUT YOUR TANK LOOKS SO COOL ta ra

Thanks Scotsgringo.

I think i will add a couple of Synodontis Catfish but that may be it for now.

As for cycling i used the fishless cycle method which you can read about on this forum. It takes about 5-6 weeks unfortunately but so long as you are not in a major hurry is the safest way to do it.
If you are thinking of doing a Malawi setup then have two filters going and mature them both at the same time.Well, thats what i would do. :)

cheers m8 that's just what i'll do if it gets my tank to look anything like your 1 that's fine with me

keep the pics coming C.YEA TA RA

The pics were taken with the tanks lights off by the way.

Yes i know Sam, but i took them this afternoon and the sun was shining through the blinds too brightly.
I will do some at night but as we are in the middle of summer the bright nights are with us for another month or two. :)

I like it Dave nice to see an update the pics are good I can`t even get anywhere near a decent picture.

To be honest Nick i struggle, the pic above was shot on impulse.I didnt even bother to clean the tank or the glass.
I`ll get round to doing a better shot soon. :)
