New Gift :o

Hey Guys!

Well I got a bit of a shock gift today! lol

Friend from work has given me a 60 Liter BiOrb
Came with BiOrb Stand, iLight, Pump
but also came with 4 goldfish >.<

Been trying to find them a new home but no luck at all

Not sure what to do with them, they seem happy enough but still

If they are not to big goldfish will strive in a biorb but would need no heater.

Not too big they are about size of a adult Betta, and theres no heater

Then goldfish are fine for BiOrbs so no worries there then...but if you want tropical fish then a departure is required.

Pardon? Goldfish are not alright in a biorb! Especially not 4 of them! It doesn't matter if they are only babies, they will each grow to be a foot long and belong in a pond! You wouldn't buy 4 great dane puppies and put them in a studio flat on the basis that "they're only small therefore they'll be fine" would you?! :huh:

Lightning, whereabouts in Leeds are you? I have a friend in Morley with a pond...

Yeh, or maybe I would use it as a small shrimp tank on my kitchen side :good:

That's what I would personally do, although 60 litres is a fair size for a biorb. Maybe throw in 15-20 tetras aswell and fairly well planted. Hmmmm............

You can likely hold onto those gold fish for a little bit if they are only tiny but I'd keep looking for a new home for them. Maybe if you post in a local classifieds page online you can find someone with a pond or something who would take them. After they are gone you can get something more suitable.

You could also just call up the LFS and ask If they could take them off your hands....
