My son got his first fish about 4 weeks ago and quite unexpectedly his molly had about 15 fry. We managed to save 6 of them and they are now in a breeding net . I've read through some of the posts to learn what to feed them and how to care for them. We then visited every pet store in our small town and none of them carry any type of fry food and looked at me sideways when I asked. I tried crunching up the flakes until they were very fine but the fry seem totally uninterested in them. Should I worry?

It's possible that the flakes are still too big for them, mollie fry normally have a huge appetite. You need to get the flake super fine. I use a mortar and pestle to grind regular flake food right down to a fine powder which they devour!

If that doesn't work, perhaps check that your water tests ok and that the temperature is right.

Fry will not eat in the first few days. That's normal. Crush up the flakes real well and they'll eat. Don't worry too much.
My molly fry ate from day one, I thought it was only fry with egg sac's that didn't eat for the first few days, just goes to show that you learn something new everday, doesn't it!
