My tank is going absolutely great, on friday morning i saw fry in my tank (from my Female Sailfin molly) and my parents spent 3 hours + looking for and netting the fry, they found alot.

There are 15 fry in my 27 litre tank
and 4 in my 100 litre with the other fish (somehow they are surviving and have figured out how to hide and get food without becoming food themselves)

They are currently 5 days old, some look like albino colouring, they are peachy and have similuar coloured eyes, whereas the others are a mid brown. What could this mean??

These are my first ever fry, and im wondering if anyone has found it easy to give fry to the lfs for free...

And how long would they take to reach tetra ish size?

Congratulations on the fry.

These things grow fairly fast. You will have propper sized fishies within a couple of months.

The colours are interesting. I used to have guppys and found that colours were never "true" colours until the fry got a little larger. The fry tend to be coloured brown/grey so that they can hide a bit easier and not get eaten. Never sen a pale/peachy coloured fry before. I wonder if they will be true albinos, or whether they are simply a bit smaller and not yet grown a nice thick skin. fry sometimes look seethrough when they are small.

Fish colours are interesting. Even if you know your fish are certain colours, I bet the kids of the fish wont be the same. A few fish will be the same colour as the parents (when they grow up) but other will be a combination of the parents colours, and come may be completely different. Its all about Genes. Have a read on google. Fascinating stuff.

I have had the exact same fry type before. The color will show in a few weeks. Be prepared for alot of fry, my molly has been alone since she left the LFS and has had 4 batches of fry since then.

my lfs took my first 2 lots of guppyand platy fry for free but seeing as they are good quality fry they now take them and exchange them for food (i usually get frozen) , i only have a couple of guppys and platys left - but they keep having fry - i cant catch the buggers but when i can they go to the lfs
they wont usually take them til they are over an inch in length

The fry are now 2 weeks old,
the 'albino' fry are still the peachy translucent colour, with no pigmentations to the eyes, yet they are growing steadily like the other fry.

I am abit worried about my small tank though.. It is uncycled, with about 15 fry in now, i dont know what to do about the stocking and i will probably get a huge ammonia spike...
and nitrite.
Rearing these fish wont be easy, because how on earth can all of those fit in that tank at 1 inch long?! its cruelty!

Worse yet.. My female molly is being constantly harrased as she is the only female (although the guppys dont usually get to her cos shes so big)
But the Male sailfin molly is driving me around the bend, i know i should expect this because before i brought the pair i knew all about the mass of fry and breeding. Getting any type of female livebearer would be my worst living nightmare, But they sold me them as a pair, cannot be sold as singles or 2 males (as i requested)..
After being shouted at by parent i had to just hide my sulky face about the female and try to forget about it.
But it must be 50 times a day that he forcefully shoves himself in her. Its disgusting. and her eye swelled up and now she has a split in her top fin.
she is being chased from one side of the tank to the other very fast and she tries to hide but he just keeps forceing her.

So i will get more fry (without a doubt) but how many batches!!?!

If it takes my first batch a month, 2 months 3 months to get the 1 inch, then how many more batches will she have??

I dont even want to think about it.

When the small tank (27 litres) is empty... would it be ok to add my female molly to that tank so she isnt constantly abused?
