for the size of it anyway. they tend to be more flatter when babies, plus it doesn't have the grey patches that mori get.

I think you should relax with your fish, you will beable to tell better when the fish have grown some.

mark, I take it that as you have re posted the same thing on page 2 that you feel we are not helping you. well sorry that i have found different sites to help you. you are not taking in the info we are giving you about different malawis, different diets etc. good luck with your setups.

there is a fish on the pic you posted it has like a greeny yellow head and dark splotches on it what type is that mate?

he is a nimbochrommis venustus, he is a malawi but they have different habitats from the mbuna, they like open water, they eat fry and live food etc, they grow a lot bigger than mbuna, mine is about 7 inches and still has a lot of room to grow. and before anyone sais out, this is a clean post please, no remarks

Ok, its not an Elongatus. Look like it is a Lombardoi after all.

it doesnt look like a lombardoi in the tank its more dark blue than purple and has a black stripe through its dorsal fin

im asking because i want to be sure of what fish im keeping ferris has been helping me for a while i.d my fish as it is extremely hard out here to get fish and them being what the man in the shop tells me they are i didnt think this was a lombardoi when i bought it and i would just like to make sure of what it as as i have one already and dont want 2 of them
