new concept in aquariums

I love the look of them - I bet they are really interesting to sit and watch as well - I'd love one of those

I wonder how big they are and the all important - how much they cost. They look expensive so that means they must be £expensive plus a bit

 i dont think the wheels are part of the design, the tanks are just on a trolley to make it easier to move them around for the photo session, in the second photo the tank doesnt even fit on the trolley base properly.

I like the idea, all it needs is to make the deeper part longer, say 4 foot for the deep part and 2 foot for the shallow part and it would make it ideal for leaf litter biotopes or brackish mangrove set ups.

I like the idea of planting it out! Imagine the size of the vallis u could grow! Sweeeeetttttt......

Would those small wheels really be able to hold all that weight??
i build furniture for a living and i'm telling you this now, those castors will need to be removed.

If they were left on, when filling the tank it would almost definatly tip to the left (as in the pic), i've seen it happen with just the weight of one single drawer so a few gallons of water would make one lovely mess!!!

but all that grumbling aside i think it looks pretty cool!!

What everyone is missing is that these are acrylic tanks and so are bonded at the seems with an acrylic cement not silicone so the chances of the seems splitting are very minimal.

Looks cool to me id love one!but i dont know how youre supposed to clean the botom part?

Gravel vac on a stick and some long aquarium tongs, I guess.

Looks like a cool idea, but I personally don't like the look of it.

It would make a cool biotope, though, simulating a riverbank. Of course, this could also be done by stacking rocks on one side of a big aquarium.

I saw these on Ebay, with a Buy It Now price (no auction) of about £2,500.

Personally, I am not keen on the look of them, and I agree that the two horizontals would need to be longer, otherwise larger fish could only find space swimming vertically. They also look potentially awkward to maintain. :)

They look cool but thats about it.
Cleaning would be a nightmare and with fixed decor like that if you wanted to change the look of your aquarium there wouldn't be much you could do about it.

I think i would just get bored with a fixed decor setup like that after a while andi suspect they have a hefty price tag for it too.

Also, for the size they take up theres not many gals for the size of the thing.
Would you rather have a 30gal tank which takes up the space of a 30gal, or a 20 gal that takes up the space of a 30gal?

The decor is just there as a example, you can have the tank empty if you wish, acording to the website they can create a tank in any shape or size you wish and these are just examples of some of their work.

I agree... you could buy a 30 gallon tall and stack rocks on one side.

A heck of a lot cheaper, I bet.

I like the idea, I sent an e-mail enquiring about several points and some quotations for that tank design and others, we'll see what they come back with! :)

WOW ! i like it and just had a look at their website and although most of the designs are not for the home they are all pretty nice ! :D
