LOL thank you guys so much, I am new in the world of betta so really not sure, all I know is a crowntail? His body is a light pink colour that has the turquoise shimmery blend onto it from the tail. The tail is turquoise with dark red tips and he has black eyes. He was even more beautiful than the picture and I really love him!

Every betta is beautiful in its own way

I feel really naughty... I have the spare 11 gallon and might get a rescue betta... really tempted. Can add cycled mature media to the overhang filter with that tank and have a heater... hmmmm...we will see...

Is he still flicking? How are the tank water params now? Flicking is a sign that something is irritating his gills (ie due to ammonia or nitrites in the water).

Nope no flicking at all and water params all at 0! He has discovered his favourite resting place is on top of the filter and he will follow your finger around the tank! (follows mine more, partner is jealous )

Oh totally!

My boy has settled in grandly. We had an incident where he flared at a mirror I showed him finally and was clever enough to blame me. Alex my partner could go near the tank fine, anytime I got close he flared at me! We have made up since and smitten again

His tank needs more planting and hope to try a froggy friend on him. Other than this, I think he really loves the freedom of a 10g. More used to using the water space now

Good stuff. I love watching them swimming about in bigger tanks It really shows their stunning finnage off to a tee. When my first one was in a 30L biorb the lighting made him glow such a vibrant red!
