Hi all,

I said I'd get some better photo's of the senegal polypterus once they settled in, but I didn't expect it to be this soon, a few hours after introduction to the tank they were crusing around, in and out of the bogwood, over the stone and being active. Thanks again to Richard.

So here are the photo's of them, not camera shy at all.

Half tank shot, you can also make out some of the hujeta that form the rest of the tanks occupants.

The other 'new additions' are my HRP that have had another batch of fry for the umpteenth time. Really hard to get fry pics as you will see with the photo :p

Quick shot of Mum and Dad.

I'll try and get a better picture of the HRP later, gotta go revise for exam now  Hope you like them.

Wow those are neat looking fish. Also very cute fry! That's allot of mouths to feed

Very nice pics ;). Any chance to get some better pics of the Ctenolucius huyeta?

First picture is an old photo I had just after they were fed

Cheers all.

EDIT: Quick action shot, just fed some worms and thought I'd take a few pictures

Didn't come out as well as I'd hope, but they eat them so damn quick not much time to get the shot you want :p

Great Looking Halfbeaks.
Have kept these in the past and they would devour Meal Worm Pupae more readily than Mealworms.

Thanks all, just a note, they arn't halfbeaks they are Ctenolucius hujeta (rocket gar is often a common name I think as well as slant nose gar). Had them around a year I would say, they havn't grown much at all, if any. They readily accept worms, prawns, pieces of mussel, krill, blood worm and pellet food.
