Watch these Chinese tanks dude (if that what it is).
/me would like to point out that most tanks are built in China ;)

But seriously, the "cheap" versions are often identical to the "branded" ones, just without the stickers. I imagine you just had bad luck with yours..

There is no way the likes of SunSun, Resun etc etc go through the same quality control checks as brands made for European markets. Those tanks are sold for the Asian markets and are considered grey imports in this country. They are made with cheaper materials and lack the same level of QC. Just because something is made in China doesn't mean everything from China is of the same quality, it is a fantasy to think that the only difference is a sticker. I am not the only one that has had 'bad luck', and it is becoming a serious problem as these tanks get imported and sold readily on Ebay.

I have to agree, there are some pretty shoddy tanks being made and sold cheaply from China.
Here in Japan, pretty much ALL hobbyists will only buy Japan made tanks.

It isn't anything to do with the Japan sense of pride, but purely based on the amount of CRAP that gets imported from China!
Fine if your buying fun stuff like fake clothing, etc.
But when it comes to something that could potentially cause a HELL of a lot of damage to your home, best to avoid!

The Monos start off life as fresh water and gradually need salt added to their water through low to high end brackish and as sub/adults, they need to go mzrine. He will end up suffering in the long run...

Why not fill it to the top the one thing I hate about any tank is seeing the water line

where the top of the silver bit is. is right where the splash guards are gonna go. and its too close with no splash guards in to the light tubes lol so im thinking of putting something round it to try and make it look like there is more to the top of it than there is, do you understand what i mean lol

been a while since i updated. added and taken away some fish since then. Changed the sand from black to sandy coloured. infact its Unipac Tana Sand and i really like it. Got some slate from Frisby Aquatics in Hull.
