New 240l Tank

got my new 240l tank, roma 240 today.

its ex display about 3 months old and i got it for £310 with cabinet and an upgrade to the nest filter up, frgotten which one now.

its going to be well planted, still working out wether to upgrade lights or not.

i made a bit of a mistake though. after 40mins of filling, i realised i hadnt put the plant substrate so i put that in with the tank half full. its gone cloudy so i will let it settle over night then add the sand.

i will start a journal in the planted section soon if anyone is interested

well done would love to see a journal , lights are quite good on these tanks eh, T8 as a pose to the old T5 they used to put on them ( im not good with WPG etc, but ive seen the plants i have grow like mad so im happy)

yeah i dont really want to use co2 so i think i will keep the lights, its 2 40w t8's

cool what fish r u planing to get. <(Remember!!!) to get no uprooting fish and hope you enjoy ur new tank!

i think angles and then work around that. a few cories, plecs, rams and then schoolinf fish i think. maybe a few gouramis

why not try hongsloi dwarf cichlid, blue acara, barbatus, rainbow fish and some kribs (kribs are good bottom strata fish)
