New 125 Litre Tank And Looking For Suggestions

Ok so I've had my small 50 litre tropical fish tank up and running with 8 tetras, 2 guppies (both male and female) and 3 plattys for about 6 months now. However as ive progressesd with my new found hobby I've decided to buy a new 125 litre tank, therefore i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what new additions might be nice to have? I've looked at a few different types of cichlids and a discus but I think even with the new tank it might be a bit too small for fish of that size? All suggestions are welcome and thanks in advance =)

15 pygmy cories
20 hengals rasboras
a pair of cockatoo chiclids

you wont regret upgrading.bigger is always better.i have a 125 litre tank with 2 bolivian rams.take a look at them they are just great fish.

I have a 125 litre, currently in the process of restocking.

Just now i have 7 Corys (6 Stimulis and 1 panda), which i aim to increase for both types (had 4 panda's but 3 died when i had to move the tank for a few days).

Just got 10 Penguin Tetra's which again i will aim to increase in time, they're a great schooling fish which i find facinating to watch, i've also got a Bristlenose and 2 juvenile Kribensis which may or may not be kept depending on their temperament as they grow older (these are the remains of the great kribensis massacre of 2012 where my nitrites spiked for some unknown reason and wiped out two generations of babies and the parents all bar the two survivors, one from each batch of fry.....they must be triple hard B's).

I highly recommend both the corys and a shoal of some sort, gives the tank a real natural look and lots of movement to keep you entertained.

ive looked at a few plecos such as the britlenose, but im a bit wary of getting one purely because ive heard they can get very big by the time their fully grown? a kribensis or two could be a very nice addition to the tank though.

Does anyone know if a cockatoo dwarf chichlid would mix well with a Bolivian ram? I've had a look at a few websites which say that cockatoo chichlids can be aggressive towards other chichlids.

Congrats on the new tank! I am far from any kind of expert, so I will hold back any opinions. You're better off listening to the experts! I will say that I got an albino bristlenose and he was unable to survive transport

( I live hours away from where I purchase my fish). Anyways, I hope to come across one again soon, would love to have one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the albino bristlenose max size is around 5-6"??? Your 125L tank should meet the min size requirements. Cheers, and good luck with the new tank.

Thanks for the info on the Pleco still not sure about getting one but I will take a closer look at them now.
