New 125 Gallon beginning....

Already in the plans. I'm going to pick up some paint to do that. :)

Yes, PAINT. Why? Because I'm tired of water between the background and the tank.

Besides, from what I understand Acryllic paint is very easy to remove.

I paint my tanks with latex paint and its fine. Is there enough room between the wall and the tank to paint?

Well, luckily I was planning and thinking when I put the stand in. ;) There is enough room that if I remove filters, etc... I can actually squeeze behind the tank (barely). :)

I tore it down by sides and took some closer shots. It is clearer, but the lighting just doesn't sit right. :( I think the atnic bulb is the problem, but I can't replace it yet (no money). :(

And yes, my fish are in the lower lefthand corner all freaking over a single algae wafer that the plec was finished with. LOL

I got a nice shot of the left hand side of my tank tonight. :)

why dont you just put your background on the back of your tank(on the outside)??!!!?!?!? :look: :hyper: :look:

Hey, that's a novel idea. :p

This is the way I have done it, but unless you either full tape the entire outside edge (and I do mean the entire outside edge) or silicone it water gets inbetween the background and the back of the tank. Thus creating a mess and when you have the right amount of tape across the back you end up not being able to clear it and it can take days to clear. :(

Well, it is fully clear this morning and some of the plants are already pearling with a single 2 Liter CO2. :) I'm hoping to add a second soon... ;)

Dude with such a big tank why go with just guppies. Seems like a waste of space to me. If I had a tank like that I would put a bunch of Discus or maybe a Arowana for awhile.

I've already added a Gourami and 2 Kuhli Loaches. It takes time to choose and purchase fish. If I could afford an RO system I would add discus.

You dont need R/O to keep Discus. As long as you keep the temperature high and the pH constant then they will be fine.

That's wonderful. Got rid of the cloudiness and did a not-too-shabby job with the decorations, either. :D
