i have never even thought about cross breeding fish, does it work with pleco's or will my guppy's breed with my platy's or whatever please check in my signiture and tell me what i have able to breed as hybrids

None of your fish can cross breed.

For a fish to cross breed easily it needs to be of the same family and genus.

Like dwarf dude said, it's not that simple. You can't just stick an angel with a plec and tell them to breed lol.

Here, if you are interested in hybreding livebearers, you can do these:
swordtailxplaty
mollyxguppy

Though it's not recromended, and hard. Most of the babies will die and the ones that live won't live as long.

You can also hybridise Guppies and Endlers, though it's not recommended. It's best to keep the few pure Endler strains pure. As most have already been crossed over with Guppies to give the Endlers and Guppies different or better colors.

Also, you can cross-breed Swordtails and Platies, but most actually are hybrids anyway. They have been crossed back and forth a lot to get different colors and fin variations. So you won't get anything special crossing Swordtails and Platies. Sometimes you'll get a male with a stubby Sword, or something like that. Nothing good.

Which one?

Guppies x Endlers is very easy. You don't have to do a thing. It's not recommended you do this though, for the reasons I mentioned above.
Platies x Swordies is also pretty easy.
Mollies x Guppies is very hard. It very rarely, if ever, happens in an aquarium.

If you do get hold of endlers, you should breed them with each other. Pure endlers are much rarer and more special than even more fancy guppies. Lovely little fish IMO. Once I get my new tank I'm going to order myself some.

central american cichlids and african cichlids breed together often. not with eachother, but a convict can mix with a texas or JD.

Hybrids occur when a fish has a desire to breed with no same species or one that is the same sex. It gos ahead and finds the next best thing.

because if everyone just crossbred endlers and guppies because they "looked better", eventually the endler would die out.

keeping the endler species true is better.
