i've done some research online about this species (a.k.a. the dusky panther goby) but can't find a whole lot of info on them. i gotta 55 gallon brackish tank with a green spotted puffer and a columbian shark catfish, SG is about 1.008 (and a snowflake eel or two will be added eventually). any advice?? would this fish be a good addition or a bad idea?

This is a smallish waspfish (not a goby) that should get along well with anything that doesn't try to eat it. All I know about this fish for certain is in my FAQ. It would be fine with shark catfishes (please don't keep A shark catfish -- these fish NEED company!). Spotted puffers and morays less predictable. Morays are predatory and have been known to attack fish too big to swallow whole. In this case, the results could be fatal for both fish. Puffers are, as ever, a gamble. A peaceful puffer would make a fine companion, but an aggressive one would likely molest the waspfish, and even if it didn't kill it outright, might nip at such a slow moving beastie. Proceed with caution!

Cheers,

Neale
