Neons Safe At 7.6?

would it be safe to add neon/cardinal tetras to my aquarium, the ph is at 7.6, but yesterday i put peat in my filter and hopefully it will lower it by a bit at least. also, what about german blue rams or bolivian rams, or what would be the best rams to put in the aquarium.

A pH of 7.6 is really good. I would not lower it at all.

sweet! i am so glad. im glad that neons work rather than cardinals, i like neons better, i wish german blues would work but bolivians are still really nice.

At my last residence, my PH was around 7.6-7.8 & had 12 neon tetras in my 20 gallon. I added them to a well established tank & just to be on the safe side, drip acclimated them once they got home.

ok ill try to slowly acclimitize them, but the ph at my lfs is 7.6 as well, ill still rather be safe than sorry.

For the neons check the pH of the tank at the lfs. Mine keep neons at >8pH and they are tank bred so adjusted to this level.

Then I'd say that's perfect as they are already acclimatised to your waters pH.

ok then i hope they do well, just to be safe im going to buy only 6 the first time, then ill get the other 14 in groups of 7, just so if there is a problem then i dont lose all 20 in one go
