Yea thats why I asked, I had a feeling I would be overstocked. I'm considering seeing if I can trade out some of my danios but we'll see. I still want to look around at different types of small colorful fish in case I do want to exchange...hmm

I have two rams at the moment, 1 german blue and 1 bolivian. They might be pondering the idea of pairing up but their behavior keeps changing every so often. It would be interesting if they did, because I've heard that they normally won't pair up with the different varieties.

Believe it or not the bolivian came from Petsmart of all places. He has really colored up over the past week and I'm so happy ^.^. I love my german blue but I have to agree, the bolivians have tons more personality.

What?!?! You are lucky. My local Petco and Petsmart stores do not stock GBRs or Bolivians. I had to drive two hours away to get my rams.

Lol I know, right? I spent a few weeks researching these fish and calling everyone I could to see if anyone carried them. All but 2 said no they don't have them and wouldn't order, the other two didn't have any I could see but could order them. Then one night I decided to go to the store and low and behold! they are doing a promo thing and have bolivians now =D

I was a bit worried for him for a while because we all know certain stores aren't fabulous in fish care/water quality but I figured if he had managed to survive 4 whole days in their water and not look sick he deserved a chance and like I said he has settled nicely and colored up. The other store I got my GBR from decided to order all three varieties randomly, and I had a hard time choosing between the golds and german blues =O

I've never seen any Rams in the flesh either. Shame coz when I upgrade my tank (one day) I'd deffo like some!

Well you should really consider it =) if thats the kind of fish you want that is. They are really pretty and cute I really love my bolivian, he's so curious. But yea I was just going to order them and if they didn't come healthy I wasn't going to buy. I feel really bad doing that to a business, but what else can you do if they don't let you see the stock first?
