Need to positive ID this fish

If it is a G.brassiliensis then it is severely stressed

couldnt it just be under a different lighting, or be a younger geo brassil, OR could it be a male or female with different colors? i think it has teh same basic color, but i think it is a younger one. do they always have the same exact color? im positive its in the geo family though.

I found this INTERSTING , but couldn't find a match , and don't know how accurate it is either, take a look anyway .

I think it might be G.brassiliensis, but heres some more pics just incase

if this is a geo, will he eat my fish? They seem to like to chew on gravel and spit it out. Is this a trait for a geo?

1. If it gets big enough it may eat [ some ]your fish.

2.Yes , that is what Geos like to do , some other fish as well .

So, what should i do now with my geos? I like my smaller fish, should i trade them in for something different?

How big are they now ?

Smaller Geos won't usually eat smaller fish , you may have some time here .

And it depends on the Geo , you could be fine , but you can't bank on it .

If they're small say around 2" , like I said you have time .

 Or you could take them back . :dunno:

most geos grow past 5" way past in some cases :/

[Micros and cupidos [a related species] stay smaller]

Yea, they are about 2". I'll probably take them back when I have time :-( along with some other fish(fy ect.) But thanks, everyone on ehlping me ID this fish.

Sorry , better luck finding rams next time .

'Geophagus' litteraly means 'earth-eater' :p. Anyway, looks like a nice fish. Shame it wasn't what you were looking for though - good luck next time :)

Actually, i would love to keep it, but I have no aggresive community tank yet.
