Ok, my tanks upstairs, and its actually very unsafe, as it is imposeing a load, 5x what the floor can take, and my mums heard lots of cracking....
So, when i move the tank downstairs, will i continue my cycle as normal, or will i need to start again???
I know that the bacteria are in the filter, but wont the nitrite and nitrate be lost, hence my cycle will need to redo what its allready done??? (other than the ammonia processing, as its contained in the filter..)

Thanks alot, Mikey

When you disconnect your filter, try and keep it running in a bucket of tank water while you move the rest. Don't let the filter media dry out, the bacteria will be ok for an while.

If you can, try and keep as much water as possible, if that's not feasible set up the tank with dechlorinated water, add the filter, then add ammonia to feed the bacteria.

The test regularly to make sure things carry on as planned. At worst you'll have a small die off, but as long as you keep the media wet and thus the bacteria fed it shouldn't be any major setback.

5 times the load!?!? What kind of tank do you have? Like Glod said try to keep as much water in buckets so you can add it to your tank after moving and just let your filter running in a bucket and your bacteria will be fine
