the blue ones are really nice, they actually look blue as well!

yeah, I got that from a CW forum. I have herd of BN in CW tanks, there was a post abot keeping plecos in CW, and they were mentioned.

remember, a "coldwater" aquarium is really just an aquarium kept at room temperature -- about 68-74 degrees F. that's not really all that cold! a tank that stays between 72-76 degrees can even be used to house some tropicals as well as fancy goldfish.

the secret is to look at the temperature requirements of each individual species instead of just lumping all tropicals together.

like black skirt tetras can also be kept in tanks like that, as they go from 68-79 degress. f

well the big aquarium used to be a coldwater tank, we started out with seven goldfish about 5 months ago, but only two are left now......so we heated the aquarium and got somemollies. we thought that the goldfish and mollies could live together peacefully, but the one goldfish we have (that my 10 year old brother calls Fatso because its HUGE) attacked the mollies as soon as we relased them into the tank!!!! so the goldfish got taken out and moved to a smaller tank. im hoping that we can take them to our school, they have a 200 gallon tank there, but its not running yet.......

but im glad bettas can go in fishbowls, im going to get some this weekend!

You COULD have a common plec, but everybody says that once they get big they will suck on the goldfish's slimcoat. I have one with my goldfish, and this has never happened, but he's still pretty small. You could always re-home it when it gets bigger.
Yes, this happened to my mom's goldfish. It might have been sick or had a parasite, don't know. But it freaked her out the pleco latching onto the side of the goldfish. She got a net and it got off, but jumped right back on. Made a sucker mark on her side. She moved everything out of the tank it was in, it scared my mom so much. It was not a super big pleco, but about 5 inches long. Made me scared to keep plecos, but I know that one shouldn't make me think it would happen with other fish.
