Need More Fish....i'm Stuck

my mom had a ( just one ) cory in her 30 gallon tank for the longest time. when i used to have Dwarf puffers i tried to put a cory in with them, they attacked it like a pack of wolves so i took it out and put it in with my moms tank. i dont think it matters with corys. my mom has her same first cory, its a good 3 inches long and at least an inch round... biggest cory i ever saw...



weyre talking about cory catfish... right.

In that size tank I would definately up the number of corys to around 8-12. It does matter with corys that they should be in a group. Obviously they can live on their own (as can any fish) but they wont be happy. Go to any lfs and watch the tanks that are full of corys and noticed the behavioural and personality difference when they are in groups compared to being on their own.

or you could up the corys to 6-8 and get 4 of the catfish on the left in my sig.

i like the upside cat fish... they are relatively easy to care for to...

i'm thinking another 8 or 10 harlequins would be a nice site

do fish like bogwood?... i may get that to give them something else to explore.. especiall ythe corys and yoyo's

4 Yoyo's

1 Golden Gourami / or a Betta if i they have a nice colored one (i had a beautiful scarlet red one for 4 days

60gal isnt anywhere near big enough for clown loaches.

bolovians arnt i think your thinking of gbr. and i wouldnt get chlown loaches i think there will be to much on the bottom and the top of your tank will look empty.

yeah not a lover of clown loaches.. i prefer the yoyo's...

what does anyone think about a shark for the centre piece out of interest?

imho.... the only decent looking freshwater " shark " is a bala shark. and they can grow up to 14"

red tail black shark is another.. decent looking fish...


just do a quick google about freshwater sharks...

i wouldnt add anymore bottom dwellers i think thats it for the bottom othere wise they will get really terretorial.

yeah some rocks or something would be an idea.... i have some live plants but want some big leaf types...
