Need Help Please

I've just came home and lookin at my tank and some of my neons are red around the gills and a bit subdued the first thing I thought is some kind of poisoning but surely if it was all of the fish would be having problems

Ammonia can cause damage to the gills.

If you haven't already, test the water for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, and then regardless of the results do a large water change. Test again in the morning.

Yes & no, neons are notoriously fragile so are often the first to become ill. Also they suffer from a "neon only" disease so it could be that.

How long has the tank been set up?

Ok thanks for the quick reply got to pop out as much as I'd rather sort this out but made commitments I thought it might of been that but how hasn't it affected all my fish? Its been set up for around4 weeks but I had established media in my filter

Well it might yet affect all the fish - they're not all going to show signs of irritated gills at once, every species is different. Some are more sensitive than others.
