Tank size: 65 gal
pH: 7.5
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
nitrate: 20 - 30
tank temp: 78f
run a 36w UV light (bulbs are changed every 6 months)
Hi, I started a new (cycled) 65 gallon planted aquarium.. one of my puffers had these little white spots on only his fins which i thought was ich so i raised the temp to 86f for 2 weeks and the ich didn't seem to be moving but has slowly spread to another figure 8 puffer. Upon seeing this i raised the temp slowly to 90f and held it for a month only to discover this same white stuff has spread to another 30 gallon aquarium housing an Avocado puffer. Since then i have been treating both tanks with full doses of seachem paragaurd and lowed the temps to 78f and turned off the UV lights (both tanks have them). Attached is the best pic i can get of this stuff as its real hard to see ontheir fins from a picture.
also not sure if it matters but their diet consists of 90% snails with treats of NLS thera A, blood worms, red shrimp, mysis shrimp, omega one super color pellets.
please help!
