hey guys i know must people say chilids should be kept in large tnaks and that seems right. but after seeing several; nano reef tanks, i s was woundering if a samlle say 25 gol tnak could be used to house some kind of species tank? with just 2/3 fish of a single species?

i wa thinking of maybe some pusedotrouphus lombardi or simerlar?

but i am asking this mainly coaz i haven;t got a clue this is just a futer plan at the moment.

It could host a home to some small tanganyikan cichlids. You could do a pair of brichardi types, 6-8 shell dwellers. A pair of calvus, the smaller type. There are many diffrent kinds of tangs, and they can live in smaller tanks than malawi, but you need to understock the tanks.

also, you should be able to get some yellow labs, or p. acie(sp). Maybe 3 or so, a trio, 1m 2f.

Yeah good advice, you have a few options with tangs and yellow labs/P.Acei are possibilities as far as Malawi's go although a 30 gal would make a big difference in this respect. Labs and Acei's are less agressive but they are still Mbuna and I think the tangs would be a wiser choice.
