Hey all.
Thanks to the use of a friend's camera, I've managed to obtain some pics of my Nannacara taenia.
They are from Trimar where I had a brilliant chat with staff member Monty who really knows his stuff about cichlids.

Oh and this little fella emerged from my planted 125litre tank in the other room.

I love your tank!
It looks like perfection!

Nice fish too, they look like they like hiding :) - Camera shy :p

lovely little tank. never seen Nannacara Taenia before. Are they male and female? Have they spawned yet if so?

Thanks. It's really low maint. No real aquascaping, just placed things in and let the plants grow. Welcome to any suggestions.
They have become increasingly shy as the months have gone on.

Cheers ianho. They are quite rare so I'd love to breed them. Yes, Monty IDed them as a pair. No spawning yet. I think I'd need to increase live food for that.

Mind coming round and throwing some bits into my tank, too?!

How big did you think?
It's a Clearseal 18x12x12inch. I only fill it up to the bottom of the black line so it's technically not going to have 18x12x12 of water in it.

I actually thought it was smaller than that, I htought it was about 20L and it's there or there about 40L. I'm guessing it only cost you around £30?

Less. Around the £20 mark if I remember. The stand was more than the tank! :X Not by much though. :D

Have you got it without a hood, I can't tell from the photo.

It seems like the perfect tank for a small project to me, I would get one if I could find some space. I think it's time to have a walk around the house with rearranging furniture in mind! :shifty:

Oh, I see. Sorry for going off topic...

I need to magic my printer away so I can put a small tank on top oh my draws, hmmm... :shifty:
