I got myself a new male bristlenose today, he's fairly young but already sexable with a nice bunch of bristles. The only problem is I want to call him Pugly while my husband wants to call him Miugly.

Previous and current males have been called Fugly and Ugly.

I like the name Pugly because its a joint name of Pretty (which he currently is) and Ugly which he will end up. Not sure on the reason for Miugly.

So please cast your votes

Pugly is too similar to the breed of dog "pug" for me, but Miugly sounds like "my ugly" when I say it out loud in my head. I'll have to go with Pugly.

Mine are all called Mr Bristles. Pugly gets my vote though, of the two.

Ha! I misread it and thought it did say Mugly - if the other choice is Miugly then I choose Pugly
