I have this med on order to treat columnaris in my tank. I have read the ingredients are formaldehyde and malachite green (contains copper) on the net, don't have the med yet to read all ingrediants.

Is this safe to use full dose with 2 plecs in my tank.

Any advice/opinions are greatly appreciated.

Ive used it in the past with plecs in the tank with no adverse effects, however do not be tempted to overdose (even by a little) as it can wipe your beneficial bacteria if overdosed.

Thanks alot for that minxfishy, so using the correct dose will be fine for the plecs, and bacteria.

Bah, Myxazin is fairly weak, I've used it at 5X overdose before with no adverse affects :good:

Now, it if were Interpet Number 9, it would be a different story...

It should be fine to use with plecs IME :good:

myxazin didn't even scrape the surface for me, as far as eradicating columnaris in my tank was concerned. think you need anti-biotics, and even if you could get hold of anti-biotics you would have to treat in a seperate tank as it kills good and bad bacteria so would wipe the good bacteria completely out of your filter!
