Hopefully i will be planting it next week with a bit of luck depending on how quick i can get the eco complete delivered . I was thinking of mail ordering my plants from birstall ...... has anyone used this company before as they have a wide selection to choose from ? And how quick do they deliver ?

wohooo your electricity bill is going up thats for sure, whats a D-D C02 system?

Lookin good so far nice tank and setup B)

Hi zig thanks for your post . The D-D co2 system is actually a D-D aquarium solutions co2 pressurised system . I think aqua essentials sell them mate , but i was lucky to get a brand new one off ebay for £90 . It has all the usuall things you get with a co2 system but the diffuser is one of those intergrated ones with the bubble counter built into them it has a ceramic diffuser and i think they are made by ruwal aquatech from italy (which is what is said on the box) i tested it this afternoon and everything seems to be ok with a nice stream of bubbles going up the tank , but if it doesnt work in the long term then i will get one of those sexy glass ones from aqua essentials .

Ok i see

im just looking at your lighting setup again, if it was me i would put the 2 T5s at the front of the tank, these are going to give more intense penetrating light than the normal T8s, basically my thinking would be that carpeting plants would do better initially particularily the likes of HC with the more intense light, it would give you an edge when trying to start off carprting plants, usually if anything i would like to slow down the growth at the back of the tank and get the front to speed up when im planting new setups, so by having the T8s at the back and the T5s at the front you could achieve something like that, anyway just an idea.

if everything goes to plan i think this could be a very very enviable tank! amazing bogwood, good set up already, awesome stand and tank.

what plants and fish are going in there yoyo? please don't say something bland!

That bog wood is something else! The arrangement is great! I agree with Zig about moving the T5s to the front. Your potential foreground plants will thank you later. Otherwise, I envy your set-up and look forward to seeing the plants you put it.

Thanks for your replies guys ...... The wpg at the moment is 2.54 with 5 bulbs but iam able to put it upto 3wpg if i put the 6th bulb on . I think i will move the T5's to the front as suggested , but as for live stock what i have at the moment is a pair of L134 leopard plecs , 9 rasbora hengelii , and a pair of rams which are currently in my girlfriends tank out the kitchen , but i was thinking of swapping the rams for some kind of aspistogramma's not sure yet .......... plant wise it will hopefully be ( as long as i can get them ) christmas moss to decorate the bog wood , with HC for the foreground and sides of the tank , in the back it will be a mix of limnophila aromatica and eusteralis stellata with a bit of micranthemum umbroseum in between ...... I will hopefully be ordering the plants this week . If anyone can give me some pointers on where's best to get them from then please feel free to let me know . Thanks

i'll comment when i know what those fancy names actually look like :p greenline is what i have used, there's birstalls aswell
