My Severum

well my gorgeous severum is going back tho my lfs next weekend cos he is devestating my plants. bit reluctant to part with him as he is great but hes making my tank look like crud. on s plus note tho i am exchanging him for a t eliotti ( the fish in a member called threefingers avatar) stunning fish

Good luck, I don't know if it'll be any easier on your plants though...anchor them well as they like to dig in the substrate.

my plants are well anchored so shouldnt be a problem. its a pity i dont want to get rid of him hes becoming a real character but he is stripping my plants bare .

all large cichlids will ruin plants!!!!

you may have to bite the bullet and decorate the tank with things other than plants!!

i have some really nice plastic plants in my tanc actually!! they look quite real!!

yeah i agree with Peter every cichlid i have destroys ( and takes great pleasure in doin so) real plants... bring on the plastic

hmmm thats not good. maybe i might take a look at some silk plants, keep old red ( my sev) and still have an elioti too !!!

i personally would keep the sev, huge fan, and get plastic plants. not ideal, but seems like the best situation imo

check ur stores, internet, etc if u want.. might find some. there is some that look more realistic then others, cant hurt to atleast check it out anyways.
