My ram has suddenly took exception to its new tankmates. Chasing them off and constant displaying. It's chasing my Elliotis and my firemouths. It squared up to my firemouth that's bigger than it, the firemouth decided it wasnt going to take any nonsence and decided to stand up to it but the ram wouldnt give up. They locked lips for a second and had a face off. Ram won't back off, might end up moving it before my firemouth gets much bigger. Only cichlid it's fine with is my female krib

Put him in with my breeding convicts, they'll show him whos boss... Joke
Ok seriously ive never known rams to do that, maybe he needs a mate?

it seems to have gone very yellow too. crazy thing. it doesn't have a mate of it's exact type.

Looks like he's claimed that spot behind the bridge, and doesn't want any cichlids going near it. Seeing by the video that he's not totally pursuing and nipping the other fish into the corners of the tank, it seems like pretty harmless behavior.

You have a crapload of aggressive, semi aggressive, and peaceful fish in that mish mash pile, there. I sorta see chaos and death in the future, once all those fish are fully fledged and ready to rumble. How big is that tank of yours? what's your stocking list, exactly?

Ahh, I see. The tank looked a lot smaller from the video since you had it pointed in one spot. I think the 340L would be alright. I was mostly worried it was like a 30 gal or something

Jeez, lockin lips with a firemouth, you should take him out of the tank and have an intervention, remind him that one day, he's gonna be the smallest fish in there, and all those big fishes are gonna come back for revenge

I got mine from pets at home, part of the 3 for 2 :hey:

Looks like a male of the "wild" color variety. Females get a cherry spot like kribs. At least one of your other rams is a Bolivian ram. Saw it swim by towards the end of the video, maybe at a minute thirty.

yes i have 2 bolivians, they are very dull in colour compared to him. this one was labled as a german blue ram and is vivid yellow. i've had it 6 months and wondered if it was a GBR as ive seen them different in the LFSs.
