It's been a long time since I last posted, so I figured that I was long overdue for an update here. 
 
I've moved past breeding my guppies and now my column tank is going to be fully stocked. I would love to take pictures of my fish, but my camera is too slow to take a decent picture of them. 
 
 

here is my community tank:​

stocked with: ghost shrimp, a golden gourami, a common pleco, 2 guppies from my breeding project (the rest given away), 2 minor tetra, 2 bleeding heart tetra, 5 panda cory, and 6 zebra danio.​

stocked with: kenyi cichlids, auratus cichlids, the oldest of my red zebras. the rest will join them in this tank.​

currently stocked only with red zebra fry. some are pretty small still and the filter would be a tad dangerous for them.​

 
 
I cannot do too much more to them at this stage, as my hubby and I just bought a house. We will be getting a fancy new stand for the largest tank, but most importantly, looking into completely planting two of the tanks. The malawis will destroy any live plants so they will deal with plastic ones they can simply uproot. No dead plants, just an angry fishkeeper who will continually sink them back down into the gravel.

Wow....you have now convinced me to build a chiclid tank.

I agree!! It is a really fun tank to watch. Cichlids are gorgeous fish and it's been neat to see them grow and establish themselves in the tank.

Bought a new DSLR camera, so hopefully you all won't mind if I spam a few photos! i resized them so they don't stretch the screen.

It does! It's just a Canon Rebel T5 I think. Now to play with more settings for a faster shutter speed and brighter image... unless my fish want to sit still for a minute or two.
