im bored of the look of my tank, is there anything i can add do to make it look cooler

i would but i cant figure out how to put up a picture on the forum

Have you got a photobucket account or Imageshack?

Upload your pictures on there and copy the code with either side and paste it in your post and your done.

I find this the easiest way.
Go on to Tinypic.com, upload your photo.
Copy the code that says somthing about "Forums"
Then paste it in the "Reply" bit on this thread.
Just as if you was going to write a message, apart from the code is there.

there is a light from my old smaller tank on there just because the tank i got from my friends top snapped so im just using it until i build my own top for it.... im bored of the plant look but dont know weather to get a big piece of wood or so on just because my rbp's are 10 inches and i dont want them to get hurt on anything so... i got about 200 to spend on redoing the tank

Im not a fan of coloured gravel to be honest. I would either get black which will make your pygo's look dark or natural looking fine gravel, brings the colours out well.

I would get maybe one big piece of bogwood or several smaller pieces and ditch the plants if thats what your wanting to do. I keep slate in my tank which has sharp edges and have never had any problems with the fish injuring itself, used to have the same pieces of slate in with bala sharks which can be very skittish.

yes i have a patch of black gravel in the middle if u can see... i was testing it out... will it make them go darker or make there red come out, i was thinking maybe red gravel becuase that makes there bellys go red aswell but its all up in the air...u think i should take out all the plants

I love Piranha fish, In that tank I would proberly take out the plants and change the substrate and fill the tank with huge pieces of very high and branch like bogwood. just my opnion of course :good:

VM

Forgot to mention, a black background would also look nice :good:

I agree.

Dont bother with coloured gravel, try and make it as natural for the fish as you can with the set up, big bogwood would be the way to go :good:

i was going to do bogwood a couple of weeks ago but at my local pet store there were no good peices, so i guess i gotta wait it out until i find a good peice
