Ive been urged to share these little ones, so just for you Shelagh, I shall.

Found in of all places p@h, been there for ages, approx 3.5", the guys in there said they had come in from someone who had kept the Lutino with Malawis and had no fins left and the Red with Juvi Angels and he had killed them so wasnt wanted anymore, they were beginning to think nobody would take them, they need some serious feeding up and the red has the start of HITH (or some scarring), but with good food and clean water Im confident to grow them into healthy happy chaps.

So here is Tinker the Lutino, the boldest and bravest of the two who has a passion for the camera already, loves chasing the red light from it on the glass  Strange regrowth of the fins, but Im sure they will look fab once he/she grows into them.

Funny little things, were dealthy afraid of the bloodworm I put in today, took a long time to investigate it, then maul it  Now feeding well on cichlid gold and they have the tank to themselves, apparently playing hide and seek in the plants with each other is highly amusing

haha I was wondering what would be going in the trigon when I saw your other thread :p Looking nice :) hope he heals up from the HITH soon.

Why the f%^k don't people read up on the "little" fish they are going to buy BEFORE buying
I'm glad they now have someone decent to look after them :)

from the pics i would say its a scar not HITH

Good question, but unfortunately most dont, I think they were probably bought originally from p@h and again unfortunately they are not the greatest at giving advice, although it made a refreshing change talking to the guys in this one yesterday who seemed to know what they were talking about and they themselves were glad to have a customer to talk to who know what they were doing.

Yeah it does look like scarring mostly, keeping an eye on it, but hopefully it will heal up given time and some extra clean water.

not normally a fan of oscars but those two are gorgeous

make sure you get lots of pics as they grow up

Gorgeous little ones!

Fortunately we didn't order oscars in very often when I worked for P@H but they rarely went to appropriate set-ups when we did have them in

Glad they have a good new home and someone who knows their needs. Must have been nice for the guy to have someone who knew their stuff! I always relished having a customer who could talk competently about their fishes needs and had clearly got some experience with the fish they wanted. Didn't happen often, mind!

Awwww

OMG Tailor is bloomin lovely, what a lovely looking little chap, so sweet

Thanks they are both very sweet and very much settled in now, both wagging away at me all day watching my every move, as soon as the lid is opened, they are there mouths wide open stuffing themselves with food. For some bizarre reason they have taken to swimming up, down and around the filter intakes chasing each other and found one of the heaters has no suckers to attach it to the tank sides (gotta find one) so realise they can move it backwards and forwards  Completely mad fish, I think the space they now have has gone to their brains :fun:

aww love them
wub.gif
they dont take long to settle in do they.. sounds like they`ve well and truely made themselves at home

Bo was a bugga for finding lose bits.. only had one sucker on the heater and often heard him chinking it against the glass

looking forward to lots more pics mags :)

WE DO NOT LIKE WATER CHANGES  Couldnt resist snapping this :D
