I got this Jalo this past Tuesday. He and the Krib don't get a long too well, but they're not always at it with eachother. The Krib is tougher than the Jalo, even though the Jalo has a semi-aggressive nature while the Krib has a peaceful nature. Neither, not even the Jalo, bother the other Cichlids nor the Madagascan Rainbows. I was shown a set of Jalos the Friday before I bought mine. My Jalo doesn't have a wide array of colors like my German Blue Ram and Krib; but the blue, lavender, yellow, and the turquoise on its gill are all very nice. :)

Very nice fish, not so sure you should be mixing malawi with other region cichlid though :)

The Jalo's not really bothering anyone. The only one he bothers is the Krib... everyone once in awhile, and the Krib won't take any bull from him. So they pretty much stay away from eachother most of the time. :) And the name Jalo reminds me of windows we use to have in our house as a kid, but I can't find the word on the internet. Not even a Google search can find it. Those windows I think are spelled Jallesis? Pronounced Jal-leh-siz, I think. Anyone know what I'm talking about? lol I can't get any of these windows `cos no one in my town has ever heard of them. :/ I would like to get this kind'a window put in for my room.

Never mind, I found out it was totally mis-spelled. It's spelled Jalousies. I've never heard a u nor an o in there. -_-
Sort'a like the word Jealousys, which is also a song by Eddie Money. :)
