well we had two more turtles join our family last weekend, rather large ones! A male florida cooter (advertised as a yellow bellied slider) and a female mississippi map turtle (possible a fake map turtle?)
so without further ado......heres dora and diego!!! (sid makes an appearence too, just for size comparison, sid is a 1 year old cumberland slider)

anyone what i'd like to know is.......i was told my female has NEVER laid eggs. i thought even if turtles didnt mate the females still laid unfertilsed eggs, is this true? is it possible she could have laid in the tank without the previous owners noticing? how often should a female lay????? and what are the signs to look out for??

Hi Spishkey very nice turtles you have their! I was boating recently in a lake in Manchester and was surprised to see a red slider basking away! I sooo wanted to take him home but has apparently been their 5 years  Going back this summer to see if he has made it through some VERY chilly winters over last couple of years...

Anyway regarding the egg thing can turtles re-absorb the eggs like Iguana's? Maybe the diet hasn't been optimum or it's just one of those things?

INTERESTING names !!! I wonder if you have kids!!! lol

nice turtles by the way!!
