My bare tank..

What do you guys think of the layout?

I want to make an almost minimalist look to the tank.. Hence the basic layout..

Getting a few Anubias Nana to slot into the driftwood and other thin, long plants as the background..

Re-using my black Shrimp Soil as the substrate..

Ideas or even critics are welcome!

I think that will look really nice the way you have it. What size tank is that?

Its a 30cmLx30Wx35H

Based on the Forum Calculator, 32Litres/ 8 US Gal

I like it! What substrate will you use?

I will be using just the Black Shrimp Soil as substrate..

I'm still undecided whether to put in a light shade of sand in there as well...

What do you think?

Personally I'd just go with the black. Not a big fan of mixing substrates.

Looks like it has potential! What do you plan on stocking? :)

Very very nice, cant wait to see it up and running!

Tks Alasse! You are my inspiration!

Anw, in that kind of size and volume, what stocking can I do instead of a betta?

Any ideas? Anyone..? :)

Nice little tank set up, i like it :)

Black shrimp soil / sand in there will look great as well.

Will you be adding any plants?

Its a small tank really, and the dimensions of the tank kind of does restricts options, i had a similar sized tank, 30cm cube and did have endlers in it but since moving these endlers to a 10 gal rectangular tank their behaviour is very different, much happier than in the cube.

So I would either suggest juts a single betta and maybe a snail or tow or perhaps even a few amano shrimps if betta is tolerant enough.

Or perhaps as a shrimp tank set up only being another good option :)

Tks Charlie!

I will be adding a few anubias nana..

Like the look of this tank. Reminds me almost like something out of LOTR. But the simplistic works very nicely. Would be good to see some shrimp in here.  The open plan is a nice touch.

 Look forward to further updates.

A shrimp only tank would be a good option :) There's so much to choose from! And their all so pretty!

I have kept red Cherry Shrimps with this current betta and he is very tolerant of them! Im thinking of RCS and the betta and maybe an assassin snail... hmm

look out for more updates!
