Results for Ammonia once again reached 1ppm this evening, topped back upto 5ppm, shouldn't be too long with any look, think I will be looking for stock again anytime soon ha cannot wait!

Looking good! You are only topping up the ammonia once per day? At the main dosing time?

Yeah that's right, only on a night its at 1ppm, never occurred in the 12hr period to do it more than once in a day which I wouldn't anyway

When the water was tested last night, the readings of ammonia were down to 0.5ppm, topped back upto 5ppm hopefully tank will be ready soon, bought the led discs which I will be using for my multi colour lighting mod yesterday too, should be doing that next weekend hopefully ready for fish this weekend too

hi, whilst looking around for fish ive really come to like both tiger shrimp and cherry shrimp. i am going to keep both together however im thinking a mi of 5 cherries to 4 tigers.
aswell of theses im thinking 2 endler guppies and 4 galaxy rasboras
any thoughts?

been getting reading of ammonia down to 1ppm every 12h, been toping back upto 5ppm every 24h, payed for the fish as stated above should be coming saturday, i know seems a lil quick but was limited stock so dived in, will just have to keep a close eye on things for the first few week but hopefully should be fine!! also built my lighting mod which i will be installing on friday here is a picture below, it is a multicolor led mod

are you still testing for nitrite/nitrate ?

YYEs I do a full test every couple of days, did one today amd the readings were
ammonia 1ppm
ph 7.5
nitrItes 0ppm
nitrAte 0ppm

Take a look at snownall shrimp too, and crystal shrimp... I'm a big fan of shrimp

Thanks luke4868, I have looked quite a bit, the reason I've gone for tigers are cos I like them the beat, thwn on other sites cherries are often seen to be compatible the most andd they breed quite easily so I thought these would be the best option, with a previous tabk I never owned shrimp so this is my first time, should be food any tips?

Can't really offer much advise as they arn't in my tank yet but as a general bit of advise, feed them food that sinks, as they rarely move off the floor...they spend all day eating down there anyway but still....and make sure you don't suck them up your gravel cleaner

Think i'm going to change my gravel to black sand and get a load of those snowball shrimps, I think there great.

Ah good work, didn't Think about the gravel cleaner that's a fair point.... just have to be particularly careful, added a pre filter sponge to prevent any issues there

Yeah I got a pre filter sponge last weekend...so hard waiting for this cycle, feels like months have passed not days.
