My New Fish

I have just got some nice additions to my tank with my 5 cherry barbs my new fish are 2 platys one red wag the other blue wag both female 3 guppies one red one blue and one yellow

Be prepared for fry from your platies. Females are usually of reproductive age when they are sold in pet stores. You can pretty much count on them being pregnant, and they can store sperm for up to six batches of fry. Are your guppies females also? If they are, they are probably pregnant too.

What is the size of your tank?

Well both platys are femal and guppys I don't know is there a way to tell if the guppys are male or female

My tank is 29 gallons

You can tell the sex of guppies the same way you do for platys, the shape of the anal fin and the gravid spot.

Oh ok is the females fin pointed like the platys or pointed

Guppies are the same as platies and mollies; the male has the anal fin (that's the one on the bottom, just in front of the tail) modified into a rod-like structure called a gonopodium.

Females will have a normal, fan shaped anal fin.
