Well it is my birthday on June the 8th and I had decided I wanted a bigger tank. So I went to the larger (although further away) "local" fish shop with my lovely parents. My dad gave me £125 towards this tank which was very nice of him :D!

The tank was £269.99 with stand, power filter, heater, hood, lights, some chemicals etc and some crappy plants which my Bettas are enjoying ;)

Anyway, yesterday I added set it up and today I added all the substrate and rocks and stuff.

I think maybe I will have to add a few more rocks and some more fake plants as I underestimated how big my tank was when buying rocks earlier lol.

Anyway, PICS:

heehee, MTS :D

Great tank. Just hope it does not take too much (well none) direct sunlight else your fish will have plenty of algae to eat.

Given all your tanks I guess you know that tho

the sunlight problem is going to be an issue as on a sunny day between 7 and 10 sun shines through the window above my betta.

Should be ok i guess....., I'll see..

:) I'm sure the tank would loook beautiful after it's completed! That's a great birthday present! For my 16th birthday (which was in December) my grandparents gave me a lot of money to buy what ever I wanted. I bought my 46 gallon tank, which was the only thing on my mind! :shifty:

Yes, its a Fluval 1200 Duo.... 1200 as its 1.2M long and "Duo" as it has 2 lights - one is full spectrum and one is blue spectrum :)

lol don't say that.... I feel bad enough as it is already.... although bad in a good kind of way :p.

Having a full time job but still living with parents = bad.... (££££)

Thats a nice tank bunji, you have added a lot of tanks lately you must have it bad. :p
You may want to move that heater to the back left side so it gets more water flow over it. :)

It should be fine where it is as it is next to the intake for the filter so it's heating water up before it goes into the filter.

Having it across the back would ruin the all angles viewing....

Hi bunjiweb :)

Your tank is looking just great!

   for generous dads!

What kind of gravel is that? Does it have a brand name? I ask because it is perfect gravel for corys, if it has no sharp edges. I never know what to tell members who live in the UK and ask what kind of substrate is good for them. :dunno:

It's "Unipac Aquarium Gravel".

It is very fine and very smooth, as you sa perfect for corys and other cats :)
