Large but boring... Cute kid though...

Just kidding Eggo.. is the obvious internal glass for use as a sump?? or artifact of lesser storage at your LFS??

No Ideas on background nor lighting but at the length use at least 2x 750-1000gph wave-makers from down up crossing at 20deg if your rocks allow.. this will cause a great mid break.

Nice :good: How much that set you back? I have the same size tank with sa cichlids in and I run 2 FX5's does the job nicely. But a sump is probably the way to go. Im having a L.E.D light unit built for my new 5x2x2 by a member on here. Looking at his previous work i'd say L.E.D is the way to go :good:

the tank is £795, thinking of running 2x aps 2000ef's it is not drilled for a sump so a sump is out of the question, been looking at Arcadia Ultra Seal Single lamp 80W T5 Controller x4 so i can run 4x 5ft tubes independently of each other on timers, would love a link to the guys previous work for the L.E.D's just need a good spectrum of light to grow algae in my tank :)

also i get 25% of all equipment i need in the shop for buying the tank and that includes everythink i need :D

You got a bargain there mate. And 25% of all equipment thats quality. It's not overly difficult to drill a hole for a sump. But if you haven't done it before I wouldn't recommend doing it on that beauty. What are you planning on keeping in there?

there is nothing inside the tank it is just a 6x2x2 with no wier or holes drilled i think it just a reflection from the tanks behind also the glass is covered in a shrink wrap

thats my little prince logan he also loves fish :)

Great purchase...when is it being delivered, and when will you have pics of the setup!?

will have it delivered in a week or two need to re-decorate before it's delivered first, also i have decided on filters, lights, background, circulation, heaters, subsrtate and rockwork.

my list of equipment is

2x Aps2000ef
2x Hydor external fish themal heater 300watt
2x 25kg bags of fine coral sand
3x L.E.D's light bars built by Ps3Steveo
3x Egg crates
1x Hydor Koralia Evolution 4000 (need to look into purchasing another)

i will be painting the back of the tank black to give me some depth also i will be using the 100kg of atlantic paddle stones may need to buy more once i start to hardscape,

i have sold the 260 vision and have all my fish in my rack of 3x 3ft tanks keeping my old external tetratec ex700 running on one of my 3ft tanks so i can seed the new filter's when i am ready,

will also be using malawi salts/buffers has i had already started using them in my vision berfore i sold it.

Bought 2 sacks of fine coral sand today 25kg each and also bought 3 sections of egg crate so with the 25% discount i only paid £55

the great guy in my LFS also gave me two large bottles of tetra aquasafe for free :)

once the egg crate is down and you have sand over it, i wouldn't be surprised if you need another bag to cover the plastic :D Its a nice tank, i missed out on one 2nd hand for £200 the other day :<

my tank gets delivered tomorrow morning i can not wait, today i have bought some polystyrene to go between the tank and the stand also bought some paint for the back of the tank and a roller and paint tray, also bought 2 new cheap internal 300watt heaters only £21, while i sort my dilema with using 2x hydor external heater's with the 2x aps 2000ef that i want to filter my tank

paint wickes chalky flat matt colour liquorice 4x pots for £4

the tester pots come with a brush attached to the underside of the pot lid and it covered the glass realy well so have i hopes i can do the back of the tank in 1-2 coats but will depend on how it covers with the sponge roller

i used gloss black on mine with a brush, it goes on super smooth whatever paint you pick. have fun!
